Artful Shelter began in 2004 with a focus on the design and production of large, tensioned event tents known for their dramatic silhouettes. From 2004 to 2010, the company created a portfolio of eight designs named after notable mountains and mountain ranges—Kilimanjaro, Cordillera Blanca, and Karakoram.
Offering both functional and aesthetic appeal, our tents were used for regional weddings, as backstage hospitality tents at Bonnaroo, for art installations at Burning Man, as performance tents at regional music festivals, and for community art festivals in Charlotte and Austin.
In 2010, Artful Shelter began a gradual shift in direction. Today, the company designs and builds innovative fabric-based architectural structures that enhance the comfort and enjoyment of outdoor gathering spaces.
